Hell Yes to a Free Market

For those who know me (or are familiar with my former blog, Political Doodle), you are well aware that I am a pablum puking liberal. That said, I have to admit that I have begun to believe in the “free market”  –  a market that is unfettered by laws and regulations where there is no intervention by the state.

The Weaker Sex? Use Me!

Ever wonder why there are so many cultures that suppress women? You know, where they force their women into submission, make them cover a good part of their bodies (and I’m including the Catholic Church in this diatribe), then claim it’s to “protect” us. But when you dig a little deeper, they admit this “protection” is really meant for the men – to protect them from their sexual urges. It’s pretty simple why they do it. Read the rest of this entry »

I love grocery shopping. No; really. I may not love having to grocery shop, but while I’m there I look at it like any other shopping trip. Except in the grocery store I can basically buy anything I want.

‘Cause the Bible Tells Me So?

We’ve all heard the story of Adam and Eve and how evil, evil Eve tempted Adam with an apple from the tree of knowledge and, therefore, how women are the root of all problems people-kind face. There is so much in this story that bugs me, but you’ll be happy to know that in the original Hebrew version (before King James had his translation done, for example), Eve did not actually tempt Adam but, rather, they  succumbed to the serpent’s temptation together.
