Do Heels Deserve Our Heart & Soul?

Men will never understand the relationship women have with shoes.

I know that’s a blanket statement and I realize not every woman can relate. . . but I also know that most women over 40 – in fact all women – love our shoes.  We don’t all treat them with loving care. But we don’t all treat our men/partners that way either. But we do indeed form relationships with our pumps, sandals and wedgies that defy logic or, better stated, define us.

Calendar Girl

I’ve got an iPhone and I use it to keep track of all the stuff I want to remember – grocery lists, appointments, deadlines. Probably most people have some sort of gadget – or maybe even  DayTimer (time machine alert!) so they don’t miss things.

But Does it Really Keep on Ticking?

You remember those old commercials, where a Timex watch gets really put through the ringer – stomped on, thrown across the room you name it – but nonetheless, it keeps on working. Samsonite luggage gets thrown from a plane and it’s unscathed. A Bic pen gets shot out of a gun and, by golly, it still works! You watch Mad Men now and you see them coming up with these kind of ideas for ad campaigns, knowing that most people will just believe them. Well, not me. I had to test them for myself.
