Beyond Babedom

We're (way) over 40. Deal with it.

Liar, Liar . . . Pants on fire

Okay; the chambermaid who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn is a liar. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t rape her. And here’s the upshot: other rape victims – once again – face the “She made it up” crowd, who like to claim that these women asked for it, they wanted it, or it didn’t even happen. Yes, some women lie about being raped, but lots of us (yes, US) didn’t and haven’t and wouldn’t. Actually, most of us don’t even talk about it. Read the rest of this entry »

Men and Signals

They don’t use them; they don’t give them. Really; how hard is it to flick that little lever on the right side of your steering wheel? But, noooooo. Men have this attitude that they only have to use turn signals when they feel like it.   Because everyone else should  anticipate their moves. And I don’t mean just where they’re heading – physically.
