Have you ever noticed how many urban myths there are about women? You know, like how women are the gossipy ones? Please. Just sit and listen to a bunch of guys sit around and talk about their golf buddies. And what about when football coaches insult their players by calling them “girls”? Free Pass!

Does every couple recognize the “free pass” system? You know; when you each have maybe 3 people each with whom an extramarital, “romantic liaison” would be permissible? If you don’t, then I strongly suggest you consider having this conversation, for several reasons. Not the least of which is the guiltless ability to have a fling with Denzel Washington (Number 1 on my list).

Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen

Why is it that, when you look at old high school photos, the guys who are bald now were the ones with all the hair? My husband, my brother in laws, virtually every bald guy I know spent the 70’s (and later, as we all know. . . ) with pony tails and big ‘fros. Which brings me to today’s subject: while we know women spend time and money on keeping their curls cool, men are the biggest closet coiffeur-ers. (more…)
