Beyond Babedom

We're (way) over 40. Deal with it.

Doggone Jerks

Do you love your dog? Now imagine hating him. Yeah, I know. I can’t either. But there are people who do. People who don’t like dogs to the point of abusing them. Now, not everyone who is not a dog lover is bad. Some people prefer cats. I happen to like both. But what is it about the people who simply don’t like animals?

What the hell is wrong with them?

Dancing Machine

Today I’d like to look at one of my favorite pastimes and a pastime enjoyed and even revered throughout the world by all . . . dancing. Mr. Clean in Paris

I know it’s quite popular to denigrate Europe, and especially the French (even though they were right about Saddam Hussein and his non-WMDs. . . but that’s another story). But you know what we’ve been noticing since we arrived here in France? First of all, the people are really friendly. Especially when you try (and butcher) speaking the language. Oh, the baker at the local patisserie was so happy to help me! And their economy? Doing quite well, by the way, despite the call by some to boycott French products.

But the most amazing thing to us is simply how clean everything is. Read the rest of this entry »
