Picture this: I’m somewhere, in a situation with a really sexy guy and I am so turned on that I know what’s coming. But then… The guilt clicks in. Oh did I mention? This is a dream. Yes, a dream. So, tell me. Why is it that I can’t enjoy a good, honest to God sexy dream without feeling guilty?

I’ve got an iPhone and I use it to keep track of all the stuff I want to remember – grocery lists, appointments, deadlines. Probably most people have some sort of gadget – or maybe even DayTimer (time machine alert!) so they don’t miss things.
So, tell me: if I can’t memorize my own schedule, why the hell does Gary expect me to remember his? (more…)

So, here’s the deal: she works, he works, she does the baby stuff (and probably most of the housework, grocery shopping laundry. . . but that’s another post). And every once in a while, he takes over: mommy gets a night out. And how does she describe this situation? My husband is babysitting tonight. Are you kidding? Babysitting? (more…)

Ever think that if only blah blah blah, your life would be perfect? Well, get over it. It won’t be and it never will be. No, I’m not a pessimist; I’m actually one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet (which sometimes drives Gary crazy, but that’s another story). I just know – being a woman over 40 (or so. . . ) – that nothing is perfect: not a job, not a house, not a husband. And if you spend your life trying to find perfect, you’ll be sorely disappointed. (more…)
