Yes, I used to get the unwanted attention, too. Believe me, I don’t miss it. Since when did I ever need men I didn’t know catcalling their approval of my physical appearance? When a new tower was being built at the hospital at I worked, the construction workers were forbidden by the contractor to do any whistles, cat calls, etc. It was so refreshing to walk past the construction site, not just me, but younger women and not be harassed.

It’s been about 10 years…when I started gaining weight. 🙂 I find that today, because only my head is in view, I get stares and winks & cat calls from even young guys when our cars are stopped side by side at a traffic light. 🙂 I have to laugh at that….

…………used to be an everyday occurance when you and I worked in the city…….I couldn’t get much past the Port Authoirty doors without hearing, “hey blondie,” “hey California girl”……….I don’t know why they thought all blondes must come from California………….but now when I am in the city, I don’t here a peep from the construction crews……at anyone, there used to be quite a chorus! I do get the occational “hey baby” when I am riding my bike in Sea Bright……they probably can’t tell from the distance that I am an old lady!!!! Funny, I don’t get so annoyed like I did back on 8th Avenue!!!!!!
